Profile Of The Clueless

It was a good day home for me. A good day home indeed. The show just ended on the television as I pondered. “A Cinderella Story”. A modern Cinderella story in fact. How sweet the tale was. The story was about a high school senior, Sam, a girl next door hoping to find her prince charming. She was often tortured by her self-obsessed step-mother and wicked step-sisters and was left a servant in the family. Cinderella was a pitiful teenage high school student with no guy admiring her. Not until one day…
It was the schools ball, “Princeton”. Sam finally finds her single social life turned into a fantasy when she meets her prince online. But however her anonymous cyber mate eventually turns out to be her high school popular quaterback, Austin. Sam’s step sisters were also in love with Austin but however he did not take notice of them. Sam had to sneak out of her house to the ball dressed with a mask and she has to be back home by 12. And so happened Austin and Sam fell in love during the ball. However, Sam had to leave at the stroke of midnight leaving her cell phone just before the clock strikes midnight.
Thereafter, fearing that her secret would be exposed, Sam hides away from Austin. Fortunately for fate, they eventually met as Sam and Austin not Cinderella. But the meeting was a bad one. The secret was wrongfully exposed in public, leaving Cinderella in tears. Finally, just before the last throw of the football game, Austin decides to choose love instead of glory as he went for Sam. And after all other efforts, they lived happily ever after.
A romantic story indeed to share with all. Thou it’s an old show, but I’m sure every one hopes to find their Cinderella and Prince Charming and live happily ever after. Every one of us would be impatient to know who lives besides us for the rest of our lives. Life in the modern society isn’t that simple as a fairy tale. Many complex matters and contradictions. As for me, how I wish for a Cinderella story to unfold upon me. May I pray for a simple and ordinary fairy tale to sparkle in my life.
